Do you allow yourself to live through seasons? Always changing, never the same way twice.

In our modern technocracy, we’ve removed ourselves as much as possible from living out among the changing seasons that the Creation holds for us. We wall ourselves away in boxes that are temperature regulated, light controlled, terrain un-changing. We’ve grown to dislike and detest any change in our “comfort” level. It’s very easy for us to be un-aware of the seasons in our own lives.

The world we live on adheres to cycles of birth, growth, death, and decay. Nature has its seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Our lives replicate this same pattern on the large scale (of our bodies) and the small scale (of our day to day lives).

All too often I’ve spent my time, fighting to stay in one season for too long. I’ve forced creation/work, when I should have been resting, or I’ve slept the day away when I should have been creating/working. Learning to live in balance and harmony is a challenging thing in the world we live in.

There is no concrete solution to creating balance in your life. It’s something that is unique to you alone. What creates balance in my life, will not necessarily be the solution in your life. Just as the length of seasons varies in different parts of the world, so your own needs will vary from mine. What is interesting to me is that all of creation is guided in the right moment to undergo the change needed at any given time. Imagine if the winter didn’t know when to end it’s bitter cold, or the summer when to cease it’s fire and burning. There are parts of the world where we can see the effects of this. The ice caps, the deserts, both extremes are examples of what happens in our own lives when we don’t allow the natural flow of seasons to occur. We become stressed. Life is still present, but the existence is harsh and mostly unpleasant.

For everything under the sun, there is a season… What are the seasons of your life?

Lately my life has been undergoing the transition from sleep to awakening, or from rest to plowing… working the soil to be ready for planting. After sowing, a period of rest will occur in which the seeds will begin to grow. The seeds will only grow if the work I have done has created the needed conditions for birth. Those conditions will only be created if I have rested properly to have the energy to create them.

Perhaps you are in Winter (the season where no work takes place, and you begin to dream), some will be in Spring (the season where you sow the seeds of your dream), some will be in Summer (the season where you tend your creation and help it grow), and finally some will be in Autumn (the season where you reap the benefits or consequences of your work).

The benefit you have over nature, is you are the only force in control of your seasons. You can begin again any time you wish. For some their lesson will be to nurse their garden/life/dream back to health/success. Others will need to wipe the slate clean and begin back at the Winter/Resting/Dreaming stage. Some will need to learn that there is a time to cease working and enter into rest, some will need to get off their ass and begin taking action.

How do you know when you are in the correct season in your life? When you feel at peace, when you feel like you’re living your life’s purpose, when things seem to click and just fall into place, all these are good indications that you are in the proper season.

Most people will spend most of their time in the dreaming/working stage until they learn to create the right conditions for their dream to grow into reality, but once a seed/dream starts growing, it grows all on its own.

Whatever season you may be in, love your way into the next one!

Have a great day and tend to your Garden Similar Posts:

It was an eye opening day the first time I realized that the world is perfect. Not perfected, just perfect.

The world is perfect for us to grow. We weren’t sent here to eek by or survive, that’s part of some people’s journey. But we are here to grow and become greater than what we were before, just as a child grows to become like his parents.

Instead of seeing the things in your life that you don’t like, that you think of as imperfect, see them as opportunities to grow. Perfect opportunities. Even the withered arm on a crippled man is still a perfectly withered arm. Even pain and suffering are perfect. They exist for us because we have not been perfected yet, and they present the perfect opportunity to transcend them. How to do that… well we’re all learning aren’t we? I believe that once our hearts are perfected our world will be too. As above, so below. As within, so without.

Some people are so weighed down with trying to make it from day to day, or keeping up with the latest fashions, or making their car payments that they have never had that Matrix awakening moment where you realize that this world is not the only one, and indeed it’s a Contested World. It’s our choice whether or not we want our world to be a paradise or a wasteland. We happen to be at the tipping point one way or the other.

How much thought have you given to the world you are helping to create everyday? What kind of world do you want your children to inherit? Most importantly, what are you doing to create that world? Becoming the most successful person in the world doesn’t mean a thing if you raped the planet to get there. If your children have to grow up in an uglier world, what kind of parent are you?

Begin with imagining your Perfected World, what kind of place is it? Where do people live? What is their quality of life? Is everyone equally happy, or is it an elitest world, where only the privledged have the opportunities to pursue happiness? Think about things like our food source… do we put toxic chemicals on our food in the future? What about our houses? What do they look like? Do they get even larger and more separate from their environment, or do they merge together with it? How about our jobs and school system? Do we still work 50 hours a week at jobs that we hate? Or do we get to enjoy our lives and work in the way that we choose? What about money? Do we still have currency, or do we invent something better? Do we become more commercial, consuming more products, or do we have better things to do than watch TV and play video games and surf the internet? How do we travel? Do we ever solve the fossil fuel problem? Do we go electric and solar, or do we invent some new technology? Maybe we fly everywhere instead of drive?

Really think about it. Talk about it with your friends, ask them what kind of world they would create for their children.

Then the fun part… The part that should put a smile on your face, or tell you that you need a new picture of the future, one in which you are smiling… Now that you have a picture of where you are going, you can begin to break that down into small chunks. Just like eating an apple, you can’t eat the whole thing at once, so you take small chunks of it and before you know it, you’ve accomplished your task. In the beginning, this might look like eating low on the food chain (vegetarian), recycling, organic gardening in your yard (or even on the balcony of your apartment). You might keep your old car a little longer so you can save up and buy a hybrid or wait for one of the new electric or hydrogen cars. If you live in the city, maybe you bike to work, or walk a few times a week. If you’re building a new house, maybe you build it off the grid, with solar and wind energy fueling your electric needs. Maybe you avoid toxic chemicals in your household cleaners. Maybe you petition your city to stop drugging your water supply with unnatural chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Maybe you plant some trees on your birthday to counter how much paper products you use each year.

Each and every thing in this world is perfect for you, and with your growth, this perfect world becomes perfected. Create beauty on the inside and beauty will manifest on the outside.

It begs the question, what’s really going on here?…

They’re giving away millions of tax payers dollars… enough to where they could give every person in the US a million dollars each, and why isn’t that money going to the people?

Well my brother has argued that if everyone were suddenly millionaires, no one would work, and inflation would be insane… and that may be true, but let’s think for a moment about what we would all do if money wasn’t king… if we all didn’t need money.

My counter argument to this is why not pay out the million dollars to each US citizen as monthly payments, in such an amount as to keep everybody working (which is really all this is about, keeping us enslaved to money)…

Or why don’t we pay off everyone’s personal debt with the bailout money? The system would come crashing down that’s why… All the little worker bees (that’s you and me) would suddenly be free… Oh no! what’s going to happen to the honey production? How will our hives get built? What about the Queen? Who’s going to protect, and provide, and feed her?

We are not a Hive species… we can be if we want, but I think we are all happiest when we are who we were created by God to be… and that is the Children of God.. literally, sons and daughters of the Creator and independently Sovereign Beings. Sovereign, do you remember what that word means? Are you beginning to remember what it feels like?

It’s been a long time since we were domesticated into what we are today… Let’s face the sad truth that most of us couldn’t even feed ourselves if we wanted to. We think food comes from a store, or a plastic bag. We think of Nature as being dirty, and a harsh environment… something to be scrubbed off of us as soon as we get back out of it.

Let’s consider where we are right now in Human existence, which is at a cross roads… will we continue down our path which has us heading for worse environmental conditions… to the point where we could end up with an environment like the moon, or Mars, and we would all be living in giant malls (which some marketer would probably call a space station or some such thing)… or will we clean up our environment and work with it to create a Garden of Eden on the earth? We possess the technology (i.e. knowledge + tools) to do both, and we’re at a beautiful place to choose which path we all want to head down.

We have to help wake people up so that they can choose for themselves instead of having the advertisements choose for them. A pattern interrupt, if you will. Talk with people, friends, family… don’t be scared to discuss the path that Humanity is on. And together, we can create for ourselves The Golden Path, without the need for a Tyrant like Leto to do it for us Similar Posts:

Yes, obviously, I’ve been thinking a lot about thinking…

Today’s thought comes from the bible and a book written in 1902.

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he… (Proverbs 23:7a)

The book is called As A Man Thinketh by James Allen. I believe you can actually find free copies of it floating around the internets (gotta love Bushisms).

It’s true though, you are the sum of your thoughts. Just like Nature, good seeds produce life, bad seeds produce death. So if we are spending our precious little thinking time that we do get these days, on things like the news, which let’s face it, is never good news, or movies, which usually deal with the darker side of humanity, or TV which bombards us with advertising, effectively turning us into consumers, then is it any wonder why so few of us are happy?

In contrast to the popular Secret…

In 1902, James Allen came to the conclusion that “We do not attract what we want, but what we are.” “Achievement happens because you as a person embody the external achievement; you don’t ‘get’ success, but become it. There is no gap between mind and matter.”

What are you thinking about?

Emerson has commented that, “A person is what he thinks about all day long.” What do you spend your time thinking about?

Sadly, I think most of us will find that according to Emerson’s definition, we are just consumers. We spend most of our time thinking about how to buy something we want, or how to get the money to buy what we want, as if Happiness had a price tag or physical embodiment.

Some more great quotes from Allen that I’ll let you do your own thinking on:

“Circumstances do not make a person, they reveal him.”

and

“Most of us are anxious to improve our circumstances, but are unwilling to improve ourselves–and we therefore remain bound.”

Some other interesting notes… The word thinketh from Proverbs above, comes from the Hebrew root word meaning to split or open, and the word heart comes from the Hebrew root word for the word to breathe, in this case, denoting a breathing creature.

So another way of looking at it would be to say, ‘As a man splits open in his breathing, so is he’.

Think about it…Similar Posts:

Do you ever find yourself trying to stay busy in an effort to keep your mind occupied? I’ve done this often in the past, especially with a painful situation like a break-up, but recently I’ve begun to question if we’re not just hurting ourselves more when we do this.

It’s bad enough that every moment from when we wake until we sleep, there are a billion different things in our technocratic world that are vying for our attentions, all in an effort to keep our minds from actually having a moment to think. And so what do we do? We use the precious few minutes a day that we have to ourselves, when it’s quiet and nothing is screaming for our attention, and we feel like something’s wrong. We’re so used to being bombarded and told what to think that we immediately try to switch our brains back off. TV, internet, radio, music, movies… not bad things necessarily, but when they keep you from your true potential and from discovering your true self (which must be done before you can reach your true potential) then these distractions are just harming you.

Why are we so scared to be alone with our thoughts?

I’m genuinely curious on this one too. Granted, we’ve all been brought up to be dependent little slaves, never thinking for ourselves or depending on ourselves. We’d all much rather have the answer be given to us, than to actually think for a damn second and work it out for ourselves. And if you take a look at the state of the world, and even more locally, the state of your life — that’s why we’re in the mess that we are today. We’ve given away our God-given gifts, and to whom?

Who is the man behind the curtain holding the strings?

We have all felt like this at some point in our lives — Like there’s something fishy going on, and you can almost put your finger on it, but then it’s gone, and you get sucked back in to the distraction that life has become.

Do you remember that incredible feeling you got, the first time you saw The Matrix ? Why do you think you identified so much with that movie? Why is it that so many of us only feel alive when we’re dreaming, and real life seems like some bad dream that we can’t wake up from?

Maybe a better question to ask ourselves is not ‘What’s so wrong with this world?’, but ‘What’s so right with it?’ Why does life feel so fake and cheap? Even our interactions and relationships with other people seem so fickle. Human beings are like sheep, and we have been, for thousands of years. Christ Jesus was aware of this, and warned about it in his teachings, but then the Truth got buried in a pile of religion.

Take a second and think about the people you interact with on a daily basis. Do your interactions feel pre-programmed? Like all the people you talk to are just bio-robots?

Not answers, but questions.

I think we are all after the same thing as humans… happiness. Or a better way of phrasing that might be eternal enjoyment of our lives. And to get there, we are going to have to answer our questions for ourselves, because we’ve been searching now for thousands of years, and we still have no idea what the answer is. Sure everybody else, has an answer for us, but we don’t have one for ourselves.

So, the next time you start to freak out, because it’s too quiet, or it gets too painful to think about the past, don’t unplug your mind, begin to think your way to a better life, one where painful relationships don’t exist, where only Love lives. How do we create this brave new world?

I’m not gonna lie, I had a good cry today. For the first time in my life, I realized that I have been a slave for all my life. Or perhaps indentured servant is a better term…

How can we call ourselves free, when we clearly aren’t? Sure you can own land, as long as you pay for it… So you spend years of your life working for someone who is working for someone else, doing a job that you hate, all so you can “own” a piece of land in a country that supposedly belongs to you in the first place. And then what happens when you finally ‘own’ this piece of land? You are required to pay taxes on it every year, like some serf or peasant in service to some far off dictator king.

Who have we let take our land from us and then ransom it back to all Americans at a price that they must pay for the rest of their lives? Is this freedom?

And we wonder why the planet and environment is going to hell, it’s because nobody cares about what isn’t theirs. We don’t view the Earth as belonging to us, so we don’t take care of it. And pretty soon, it’s not going to be able to take care of us any longer either.

Why can’t every family own their own piece of the Motherland? Why can’t every family have a garden where they can do whatever they see fit to do without fear of making money to pay taxes or buy food? Do we as Man not deserve this?

Where along the way of human “development”, did we decide that all land belonged to the state? And if it doesn’t belong to the state, then why are you taxed on it? In fact, what would happen if you didn’t pay taxes on it? The government would take your land away.

Land should be available for every family who desires it to create for themselves a family domain where they can live free and happy. This would solve every problem plaguing society today. Think about it… No more crime, no more poverty, no more hunger, pollution would begin cleaning itself up, diseases would be nearly wiped out, medicinal plants would be free to all those who needed them… Free healthcare wouldn’t even be needed because no one would be sick… Obesity, gone. Diabetes, cured. Cancer, a sick thought of the past. If everyone had the best of what they needed to be healthy and happy, then what kind of world would America be then?

Let Laws be passed that provide for private land ownership without taxation, and let’s begin cleaning up the mess we’ve made of God’s creation.

Or do you already know of a way this can be accomplished? Please let me know about it.Similar Posts:

Everybody knows that Nature is constantly changing seasons, changing shapes, changing colors. I’ve been thinking a lot more lately, which has been an amazing change for me. Now I’m not talking about the worrying that most people consider to be thinking… the what-do-I-have-to-do-today kind of thinking, but actual creative thought. The peace and joy and love that have flowed into my life as a result have been, well, as you might imagine, wonderful.

What about you though? Are you happy? Be honest. If you aren’t, then why aren’t you? Why do we do things (like our jobs) that we don’t want to do? Some people might call this lying. This was just one quick example, but is it any wonder why we find it so hard to be happy in our technocratic world? We lie to ourselves first and foremost, and then somehow expect ourselves to be happy with ourselves? What have the Sons and Daughters of God done to themselves? Why is it that Man feels helpless, powerless, and miserable?

Is it time for a change? Time to take back what is rightfully ours? Time to be free. Free from the worries of money, food, clothing, shelter… Free from jobs that you hate, and a purposeless life. Free from selling your children into the same slave producing lifestyle that has us weighed down beneath a pile of debt, all because we’ve let ourselves believe that we need this car, or that house. Man was meant to be more than a Consumer of products from a lifeless society.

God gave Man all of creation, and all we’ve managed to do with it is rip it apart and create inferior mechanical versions of it that constantly break down and rob us of our time and joy.

It’s time for Man to realize that what we’ve been given (Everything) is already perfect. We don’t need to “fix” or “invent” anything to help us be happy. Our only requirement is Co-creation and the enjoyment of its contemplation.

Think about it… It’s time for a change.Similar Posts:

In light of the recent holiday (Halloween), where you got to dress up and go masquerading around as whoever you pleased, I’ve been thinking about how we often wish we could be someone else.

I recently wrote about the importance of beliefs, and today’s topic is a big one: Other people tend to see you, as you see yourself.

Try this out, just for fun, and see if it doesn’t help you. Find a character from a movie, someone that you can watch and listen to. Pick somebody who has what you want in your life (whether it be success, confidence, integrity, money… whatever). Then Study this character… memorize the way they walk and move, the way they talk. Their facial expressions and body language.

Then for five minutes a day, when you’re alone, in front of the mirror, Be that person. Talk like them, move like them, act like them. Really make the character your own. See yourself in their location, see the people that would be surrounding this person, and pretend that they are surrounding you. Interact with these imaginary people… what would you say? what would you talk about as this new you?

Change the way you see yourself for the better. When you’re in that situation where you would normally freeze up and go into failure mode, ask yourself, “what would (your character’s name here) do?”

I’ll let you in on another little secret I’ve found: You’re brain can’t tell the difference between something you imagine happens and what really happens.

Both things are equally real to your brain. Take dreams for example. If something happens in a dream, like a friend dying, or you getting a promotion… when you wake up, supposing you’ve remembered your dream, then your brain treats those memories as actually having happened. So you wake from the dream of your friend dying with a pounding heart and an aching chest, just as you would have if your friend had actually died. And you wake from the promotion dream with the same exhilaration and expectation of a person who actually did just get a promotion.

Take Advantage Of Your Imagination

Use this to your advantage… don’t wait for a good dream that you actually remember when you wake up. Make up your own dreams while you’re already awake. It’s how we learned as kids too. We called it make believe, or pretending. See yourself as the best you possible. And when you need some help, switch into your alter ego and pretend, until you’re no longer pretending.Similar Posts:

For most of my life, I’ve had some unhealthy views about money. Most people who grew up poor do. In my transitional stage of being middle class, on my way to being rich, it was brought to my attention that my beliefs about money still need to be improved.

There have been many false beliefs that have already been replaced with better ones. Do you have any harmful beliefs that might be holding you back? Take a second and think about it. Do you still believe that money is evil? And yet you desperately want some? Do you want to be healthy, so you workout and go on a diet, all the while believing in your heart that you are fat, and always will be… but wouldn’t it be nice to be skinny like those other people.

These are the kind of beliefs I’m talking about… the ones that we have programmed our brains to work by. When we try to do something in our lives that goes against what our brains have been programmed (beliefs) to do, our brains will self sabotage us. Think about it… have you ever been three days into that new diet and you’re starting to feel really great, when all of a sudden you seem to hit a wall and the only thing you can think about is that Whopper Value Meal? And you’re thoughts become more and more irrational, until you’ve convinced yourself that it’s okay to cheat just this once… and before you know it — you’re back on your same old SAD (Standard American Diet) lifestyle.

And while we’re kind of on the subject (or at least we will be), who is your role model in life? I’m not talking about the famous people… the actresses or models who have the kind of body that you want. I’m talking about the real life, in your life, people who have been where you are and have gotten to where they are. Seek these people out. Pick their brains. Find out how they did it. Become best friends. Statistically, you become who your peer group (friends) are. Don’t believe me? Look at the annual income of your 5 best friends… add them all up and divide by 5 to get the average yearly income… Now look at your yearly income, I bet it’s almost the same. Maybe it’s time for some new best friends. At the very least, find a few friends who at least want to better the quality of their lives and are trying to do something about it. Don’t befriend talkers, befriend doers.

So, back to my faulty money belief… Again, while reading (I’m an avid reader, and if you want to be successful, than it’s my belief that you should be too… just ask anybody who has come from nothing and made themselves successful — you gotta learn somewhere) Anyway, I was reading a book about finances and the author, Larry Winget, (you might know him from A&E’s show Big Spender) was talking about most people’s views on money. He brought up the point that, You don’t make money, you EARN it! Most people just want to have more money, they don’t want to earn it.

Do you see how this can be a hindrance to actually having more money in your life? Most people want to have better things, but they never do anything to get those things. Be an earner.Similar Posts:

The beautiful thing about the way the Universe works, is that, 1) It’s all bigger than we are, and 2) It’s all automated, so we don’t have to do anything for it to work. The world works according to unseen laws and principles… some of them scientific, some spiritual.

Today, in reading, I was reminded that Life is the greatest teacher of all. There’s simply no substitute for life experience. Borrowed wisdom is rarely appreciated or listened to. Since I was a young boy, I’ve always had to learn my lessons the hard way. Often insisting on doing something my way, until the pain of my way was just too much to bear any longer.

It took me about twenty years, but I finally learned the lesson: Lessons not learned, will be repeated.

Looking back I see this rule applied to my life in a dozen different places, but the ones that hurt the most were the relationship lessons that I refused to learn the first time around. Often not even recognizing that I needed to learn anything at all… I used to just think that it was somebody else’s fault, or fate… anything that would allow me not to take responsibility. One of the lessons learned was to respect myself and to stop holding on to things I had no control over (like other people). There were lots of lessons like that, all rolled into just a few relationships.

I can see now how I should have learned the lessons the first time around, when they were presented to me in friendships that needed to be cleaned out of my life, but apparently my way was better, and it took until I had almost gotten engaged to a girl before some of those lessons were learned the painful way.

Most lessons in life usually start out being taught gently. In our busy, hectic, ego-controlled lifestyles however we rarely seem to hear the still small voice gently teaching us the better Way. The Universe is much like my father was, he would start out asking me to do something… pick up my room, or mow the lawn, or something… and I would say ok, and then go about whatever it was that I wanted to do as soon as he’d left. It wouldn’t take very long before that normal voice, asking me to do something, was now fully raised and projected at me, and the consequences of not doing what I was originally advised to do were suddenly painful. Like I said before though, I had to learn the hard way back then. It’s funny to me now, but around my teen years I actually prided myself on having to learn the hard way! I guess the lessons just weren’t painful enough yet for me to listen.

With every situation in life though, there is a lesson you want to learn from it… that’s why it’s in your life at all. Instead of pointing fingers or trying to analyze what caused this in your life, try asking yourself, “What am I trying to learn from this?” Begin to seek out the lessons in your life and learn them, and stop the cycle of screw up, rinse, and repeat. There will always be another lesson to learn, but it won’t be the same lesson… you will be able to grow and move on. You will be able to restore the flow to your river of life that has been dammed up by this particular lesson.

Good luck, and don’t be scared to ask for help along the Way Similar Posts:
